Faith without our works is dead.

Apostle James was inspired and write to us by the Spirit saying:
Even so faith, if it hath not works, is dead, being alone. {James 2:17}
I have established by the word of God in my previous writing, that faith is the revelation of God to man, and the revelation comes by hearing the word of God; and by it the elders of old obtained a good report by God (Hebrews 11:2). Kindly read my previous write up on 'what faith is" to have a good knowledge of faith.
Our works express to the people what your faith is and what God said is it and would take place. If you are afraid to act it that means your faith has not taken a hold of it. You show your faith by your works to God and man.
Our works is the way we turn our faith loose to obtain a good report with God. And we can turn it loose by speaking it and acting upon it,  Glory to God.
You confess to God and man believing in your heart what your faith is and what your faith has taken a hold of, and act to God and man believing in your heart  what your faith is.
Now, I want to explain the side of the coin of turning your faith loose, by saying it and acting upon it.
In the teaching of Jesus Christ;
So Jesus answered and said to them, 'have faith in God. "For assuredly, I say unto you, whoever says to this mountain, 'Be removed and cast into the sea, and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that those things which he says will be done, he will have whatever he says (Mark 11:22-23)
You see, that Jesus Christ said you must have faith first, and speak to the mountain before you. Your mountain can be looking for a spouse, barrenness, unemployment, ET Al.  Once you have faith you speak according by your faith to the mountain before you, not doubting in your heart but believing and you shall have whatever you say.
Notably your faith will work for you and produce result by saying it in prayers to God and to man. If you are waiting to see it before believing and confessing that you have it, you would be walking by human sense which is an enemy of faith.
Secondly, turning your faith loose by actions;
Was not Abraham our father justified by works when he offered Isaac his son on the alter?  (James 2:21)
When God tested Abraham, and told him to offer his only begotten son by which all his promise of God shall manifest, Abraham went without questioning God (see Genesis 22). He showed his faith in God by action of offering Isaac on the alter as a burnt offering and he won a reputation of a friend of God, father of faith and them that believe God.
Hebrews 11 also gave a report of actions of faith of the ancient people.
By faith Abel (offered),
By faith Noah, being warned of God of things not seen yet, (moved) with fear, (prepared) an ark.; in bracket were corresponding actions of men of ancient time after they have faith in God.
For as the body without the Spirit is dead, so faith without works is dead also (James 2:26)
