Dream! Part 1
God still speaks to people and not Prophets alone, He speaks even to babes in the body of Christ who will heed to His voice to bring his plans on earth to manifestation.
When it comes to DREAM there is a lot to misconception as to the genuine of dream and its interpretation thereof, but God still speaks through Dream today.
JOB 33:14-16 (Nkjv) For God speak in one way, or in another, yet man does not perceive it. 15. In a dream, in a vision of the night, when deep sleep falls upon men, while slumbering on their beds, 16. Then He opens the ears of men, And seals their instruction.
Dreams are letter from the Holy Spirit and it is one of several ways that God speaks to us, gives us instructions and grants us knowledge into some things that we may not be even aware of. There are various people that God has talked to from the beginning of time. Even God speaks to people who are not His people as seen in the bible;
Abimelech, Laban, Pharaoh’s Butler and Baker, Pharaoh, Nebuchadnezzar. Read ( Genesis 20, Genesis 31:24, Genesis 40, Genesis 41, Daniel 2) God has used dreams to warn people of laying dangers and His plans to people who are not His people (Israel)
Also Jacob, Joseph, Solomon, Daniel, Joseph the carpenter among many other ( See Genesis28:12, Genesis 31:10, Genesis 37:5, 1kings 3:5, Daniel 4:5)
Dreams could indicates a lot of things;
Firstly, it can be a confirmation to the calling of the office of a Prophet as God said (Numbers 12:6 Then He said, “Hear now My words: If there is a prophet among you, I, the Lord, make Myself known to him in a vision; I speak to him in a DREAM.. when a person dream more frequently, mostly of divine things of God, it indicates a gift to the prophetic realm. If you are to be called to be a Prophet of God, He will not have you ignorant of His calling, God will reveals Himself to you in Dreams and Vision of the Night.
Secondly, dreams are way that God use to warn people or call to them to prayers or intercession on behalf of a person, yourself and the nation. I have had people say they had dream of death, accident or mishap, God has given us power through prayer to bind and to loose on earth and heaven, whenever you have such scary dreams, you are to get to your kneel to pray to rebuke such dreams and pray for manifestation if it is a good one.
Jeremiah 33:3 “call to Me (God) and I will show you great and many things that you do not know”. If God is saying that you should call to Him in prayers and promises to show you great and mighty things that you do not know. He has to show you through some way for you to behold ( Dreams and Vision)
God has not changed Malachi 3:6 declares that “For I am the LORD, I change not; therefore ye sons of Jacobs of Jacobs are not consumed”. He is the same yesterday, today and forever. God still speaks to people through dreams!
