Dont reason God word to you.
1 Corinthians 2:14
But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.
When God speak a word to you, now get this. You dont try to understand it or figure it out with your natural mind or try to see how possible it will turn out to happen or how it will happen. Should you try to reason it out you will gradually drift into unbelief and will not receive the manifestation of the word you have received from God.
The above scripture, a natural man, who is a natural man? A natural man is a man who is not born again, who does not have the Spirit of God dwelling in him through the new birth. You see a natural man can never understand that Jesus is the Lord, son of the Living God. A natural man will stumble at the things of Christ because it is foolishness to him, and he does not have the spiritual wherewithal to comprehend the word of God.
It like an Eagle and vulture, an Eagle is a spiritual man and a vulture a natural man; you can never feed a rotten carcass to an Eagle because they dont feed on that, but a vulture would feed on rotten carcass. Though they are bird, not of the same feather, the nature differs. One is spiritual the other carnal, and feed on different things..
In the beginning of time, God spoke the word to Adam and Eve not to eat the fruit of good and evil;
Genesis 2:17. But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it: for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die.
But the devil gave them a reasoning;
Genesis 3:4
And the serpent(Devil) said unto the woman, Ye shall not surely die: 5. For God doth know that in the day ye eat thereof, then your eyes shall be opened, and ye shall be as gods, knowing good and evil.
And when Eve got into reasoning that thought of the devil she drifted into unbelief and eat the fruit and also gave it to Adam. That was how man fall.
In the beginning Adam and Eve reasoned the word of God to them and winded up disobeying God, Jesus Christ came to redeem man back to God, and the church/ believers have the same problem of trying to believe God's word today.
When God called Abram and told him to get out of his country to a place He will show him, the promise land (see Genesis 12:1-5), Abram went out not knowing where he was going (Hebrews 11:8), he believed God and went out without a defined destination.
Now see if Abram had try to reason it out, he would have drift into unbelief and end up not believing God. But glory to God, Abraham believed God and he was the only man who had a friendship relationship with God. God did not relate with Abraham as Father, but as a friend.
What if Abraham had reasoned it out? what if I set out and people ask me, Abram where are you going and I tell them, God spoke to me, won't they mock me? What if I set out and on our journey rain starts and me, sarah Lots and my servants get really soak under the rain? What if I did not hear God well? What if sarah (that beautiful woman even at age of 80) withstand Abram saying ' you this stupid man you want to make me suffer out there, you want to ruin my life use your brain " Abram would have had the opportunity to stay back at the land of UR. But glory to God Abram believed God. And he is the father of we that believe God. Oh that blessing and promise of our father Abraham that he behold as stars in the sky, shining forth as his children in tge 21st century.
What does the Holy Spirit says?
The message of the Holy Spirit to you at this time is admonishing you not to reason whatever God has spoken to you as a promise. Maybe God has given you a vision for something, or promise you something; through dreams, vision of the night, prophecy, the witness of the Holy Spirit, hold fast to it nothing doubting for yes truly if you doubt you become as a river blown by the wind toss to and fro, unstable, the Spirit says, and as such you can never receive anything from God, but we are not them who do not believe God and draw to prediction, we are of them that believe God to obtain a good report.
Wherefore, be of good cheer says the spirit of God, believe God, not doubting, nothing reasoning it for it shall be as God told you.
