The mystery of Jacob and Esau...

Romans 9:13
As it is written, Jacob have I [God] loved, but Esau have I [God] hated.

Romans 9: 11-12
(For the children being not yet born, neither having done any good or evil, that the purpose of God according to election might stand, not of works, but of him that calleth;) 12. It was said unto her, The elder shall serve the younger.

To begin with, there is an error in the body of Christ and among nonsecular people, which holds that there is such thing as fate (destiny) and that no matter how hard you try, God has destined some to prosper and some not to prosper, that God has favorites, and has destined some to succeed and others to fail. This is an error and It has its roots in traditional cultural beliefs. The truth is there is such thing as Destiny, God has destined everyone for a purpose, and you have a lead role as a partner with God to fulfill the destiny as God has good thoughts for us, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give us a future and a hope (Jeremiah 29:11)
This I say with all reverence to God, that it is possible for a person never to step into his destiny throughout his life time.
Note, there is such thing as Destiny and God cannot make it happen without your consent. Glory to God.

Once again, the word of the creator, the LORD God of Hosts inspired in the book of Romans 9. Before the twins {Esau &Jacob} were born, God loved one (Jacob) and hated the other (Esau), each one of them had not done anything good or evil to warrant the love or hatred of God, but God had decided their fate. What then, is God a respecter of person or partial? God forbid. As the scripture says;

Ephesians 6:9, And, ye masters, do the same things unto them, forbearing threatening: knowing that your Master also is in heaven; NEITHER IS THERE RESPECT OF PERSONS with him [God].

Ephesians 6:9 (THE LIVING BIBLE)
..... God has no favorites.

He is the God of wisdom, knowledge and understanding. He said 'I am God, and there is none like Me, knowing and declaring the end of things from the beginning, even the things of ancient times, things that are not yet done {Isaiah 46:9-10}.
You see, God knows the end of things from the beginning, and God has forseen the character and ways that Esau will follow before he was born and of Jacob, and He made a determination and predestination to stick and choose Jacob over Esau and hated Esau for his willfully profane character and way he would pursue in life.

What then, why would God choose Jacob over Esau, and love Jacob and hate Esau before they were born?

God made a promise to Abram saying; 'And in YOU (that is: your SEED) all the families of the earth shall be blessed [Genesis 12:3];

Now to Abraham and his seed were the promises made. He said not, And to seeds, as of many; but as of one, And to your SEED, which is CHRIST [Galatians 3:16]

The blessing of the seed promised to Abraham Jesus Christ was promised to come through the bloodline of Abraham, Isaac and one of (Esau or Jacob)
God hated Esau because He could not use him for the following reasons:

Firstly, Esau is a profane person:
Hebrews 12:16 Lest there be any fornicator, or PROFANE PERSON, as ESAU, who for one morsel of meat sold his birthright

God cannot permit Jesus Christ to come or be born through the bloodline of Esau who swore, sold his birthright and hated his birthright for a plate of food to Jacob. Our birthright is spiritual, the number of the position as to which you were born in your family  has a spiritual implication for your purpose and journey in life, you are not just a figure head firstborn, or just a last born, or first male son or female daughter. That is what Esau sold out for a plate of food, God has seen that before he was born and hated him for this wrong and profane act. You get that? Esau have I hated.....

Secondly, look at Esau's decision when he was forty years old:

`And Esau was forty years old when he took to wife Judith the daughter of Beeri the Hittite, and Bashemath the daughter of Elon the Hittite: [Genesis 26':34]
These were the people that owned and occupied the promise land that God promised to Abraham.
The people of this land of Hittite, burnt their children to sacrifice to carved images, they were homosexuals, they mated with animals, their men slept with their fathers' wives, brothers slept with their sisters, fornication, adultery and many unspeakable abomination was rife among them (see Leviticus chapter 18)
'(For all these abominations have the men of the land done, which were before you, and the land is defiled;) Leviticus 18:27
God promised and gave the land flowing with milk and honey to Abraham, the people of Israel because of the abomination that these men did.
Esau was a carnal man who loved the carnal girls of Hittites who did not see sleeping with their father and brothers as a wrong thing, women who derived pleasure from mating their fellow women, women who could permit animals to mate with them, women who danced and played harlot to carved images.
Jesus Christ would come as a seed promised to Abraham, and He could not come from the generation of women [Judith and Bashemath) who partook and belonges to the nation who committed these various abominations that God hated. God had seen that Esau would marry from these evil people of Hittites and He hated Esau for this... Esau have I hated...

Thirdly, Esau is a kind of a son that brings grief of mind to his parents, Isaac and Rebekah (See Genesis 26:35)
Esau was not a kind of person that could be instructed in the way of the LORD, Esau did not honor his father and mother {Ephesians 6:1, Proverbs 23:22, Colossians 3:20}
Abraham obeyed God's instruction to him, he passed it to Isaac who would pass it to either (Esau or Jacob), but Esau was not a kind of person who followed divine instruction and God in his knowledge forsaw this and hated Esau.

However, for you know how that afterward, when he [Esau] would have inherited the blessing, he was rejected: for he found no place of repentance, though he sought it carefully with tears [Hebrews 12:17]

Esau would have inherited the blessing, because he had the birthright to the blessing, but God hated and rejected him for his character and way of life, and he tried afterwards to seek the blessing with tears but Jacob was loved of God and got the blessing.
God knows the end from the beginning, and He had seen the personality of Esau before he was born and he hated him for it; Note, God did not hate Esau to begin with, but hated him for choosing to do the wrong things which he could have willfully decide not to do.

Therefore, God is no respecter of person and He does not have favorites, every man can decide his fate or destiny with God by acting right.
As the scripture says:
2 Timothy 2:20-21
But in a great house there are not only vessels of gold and of silver, but also of wood and of earth; and some to honour, and some to dishonour. 21. If a man therefore purges himself from these, he shall be a vessel unto honour, sanctified, and meet for the master's use, and prepared unto every good work.

Even though you are not so good and you are a wood or clay vessel, it is not necessary you are a gold or silver vessel to be able to do good works of God and manifest His glory, if you can keep yourself pure, you will be a special vessel of honor and God shall use you for his glory...

I trust that this has been a blessing to you, may the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with your spirit. Amen
