The Harlot Rahab.....
I was in the shower this morning fixing to go to work when I heard the Holy Spirit say to me: 'The Harlot Rahab" and I replied what about Rahab the harlot? And He gave me this message. Isn't it beautiful how God works and speak to His people... He works in a wonderful way and not mysteriously...

Far be it from me to come to you with any other message save what the Holy Spirit is saying to the church.
Hebrews 11:31 [THE LIVING BIBLE]
It was by FAITH (you see that: by Faith {By revelation of God} ) that Rahab the prostitute was not destroyed with the people in her city who refused to obey God. For she had given a friendly welcome to the spies.
Hebrews 11 contain people of ancient times who had good report with God and who were commended by God and famous for their faith in God. God bore a report of them to us and encapsuled it in Hebrew 11.
Now faith is a revelation of God, and the revelation comes to you when you hear God. It is not by your spirituality, nor works, nor long hours of prayers, nor godliness, nor long fasting; though these are significant aspects of our christian life and devotion to God. Faith is something that God gifts to you, you never had faith to begin with, you did not work yourself to have faith. It is a gift of God. If God wants to give you something, then He gives you faith for it.
The great Apostle John Alexander Dowie said 'while faith is a very precious grace, yet it is the only medium of communication and apprehension (taking hold of) of God infinite love and power.
As I've said, faith doesn't come by fasting. Faith doesn't come by praying, reading a book, form of godliness, or our level of spirituality, All of that's good: fasting, praying, and reading, godliness with power, reading a book. But faith comes by a settled something that's in the human heart, that tells you just as sure as you know that you are a male or female. A revelation of God that settles that in your heart and you act by that faith. You go out dressed as a male, in male clothing and act as a male consciously, because you know you are a male to begin with. You are not trying to be a male.'Snap my finger' get that.
I am only trying to ground you in the fundamental truth of what faith is.
Ephesians 2:8
For by GRACE are ye saved through FAITH; and that not of yourselves: it is the GIFT of God: 9. Not of works, lest any man should boast.
Rabah was an harlot, not part of God's people who had a covenant with God, she was not spiritual , but God said she had faith: she had that revelation of God and she turned that faith loose by her works.
Concerning the prostitute Rahab, God said she had faith, that is, she had good report of God to have faith: She had that revelation that was gifted to her by God to be saved from the coming destruction on her country Jericho and the people thereof.
Joshua and the children of Israel were preparing to go take up the promise land starting from Jericho, Joshua sent spies to search out the land of Jericho; they arrived in the house of the harlot Rahab. News went throughout Jordan that spies came from the people of Israel to survey their land. And the king sent people to go get them at Rahab's house, but she hid them and sent them through another way back { Ref:Joshua 2}
See this, When this spies came to Rahab she was in the business of prostitution, she was not part of God people (Israel), she was probably preparing to do her harlotry as usual, but something happened. When the Israelite spies came she welcomed them, heard and believed their good news/ gospel and acted her belief in their gospel, by not turning them in to the king for arrest but she hid them and sent them through another way{See Joshua 2:1}
Rahab had faith, that is (revelation of God) that truly the people of Israel were God's people, that God had truly delivered them out of the land of Egypt, that God had given them the land of Jordan as inheritance for the whole land was troubled when they heard of them, and she believed it, for she had the faith (the revelation).
James 2:17
Even so faith, if it hath not works, is dead, being alone.
She expressed her faith gifted to her by God in works by hiding them and sent them through another way. And because of her faith she was not destroyed with her people of Jordan.
See the faith that Rahab had;
Joshua 2:9
And she (Rahab) said unto the men, I know that the LORD hath given you the land, and that your terror is fallen upon us, and that all the inhabitants of the land faint because of you.

How does the harlot Rahab know that God had given the people of Israel the land of Jordan? It was by faith( by revelation of God), it was revealed to her.
Who has believed our report and to whom is the arm of the LORD revealed (Isaiah 53:1), the gospel of Christ Jesus is being preached everywhere today and the arm of the LORD is being revealed to you; for the grace of God that bringeth salvation hath appeared to all men (Titus 2:11)
That harlot Rahab's kind of faith is going out to the world today, and it has appeared to all man for it is by grace(gift) not works..
The Holy Spirit is sounding this message to you today, obey the gospel and be saved from the coming wrath of the end time that will bring destruction on them who have not believed the gospel.
